This will be our first visit to High Beeches. This Woodland Garden extends to 27 acres and has magnificent woodland and water gardens, full of rare, exotic and unusual plants; RHS award winning plants, a botanical treasure trove, and is one of the great gardens of Sussex. The plant collection includes specimens from many parts of the world and Champion trees – supreme examples of their type. The stunning blue Willow Gentians will also be in full flower. High Beeches Gardens is the only site in the UK where these plants are naturalised.
Today the wonderful Heavy Horses from the Working Horses Trust will be harrowing the wildflower meadows. Get close to the gentle giants and see how much they enjoy working the land.
There is a licensed tea room for refreshments and we will be stopping at Heaven Farm in the morning for coffee (not included)
