DAY 2

After breakfast we will drive through some of South Holland's pretty villages for our visit to Keukenhof Gardens. Considered by many to be the most beautiful spring garden in the world, and known as 'The Garden of Europe', Keukenhof covers an area of about 79 acres. Approximately 7 million bulbs are planted annually and visiting the garden is like being adrift on a sea of flowers. Discover around 800 varieties of tulips and other spring flowers, together with the sculptures and other works of art that give the park an added dimension.
You can choose to explore on foot, by taking a whisper boat trip or by hiring a bicycle. There are food outlets throughout the park - don't forget to try some tasty poffertjes (tiny Dutch pancakes).

Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, is known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city's 17th-century Golden Age. We include a canal cruise to see some of the city's most beautiful spots. The boat glides under pretty bridges, and passes elegant merchant's mansions, carillon-crowned churches, and historic buildings and famous landmarks. Later there will be time to find lunch, explore further at your own pace and perhaps visit one of Amsterdam's many museums.
