Day 1 - Sunday
We drive across Salisbury plain to Marlborough for a lunch break and then over the Severn Bridge, reaching our Hotel late afternoon. Tea and coffee are provided whilst your luggage is taken to your room.D
Day 2 - Monday
Experience the sheer beauty of the Gower today. We start at the Gower Heritage Centre, which offers crafts, a watermill and a museum. Here we will be joined by a local guide for a coach tour taking us from the heights of Cefn Bryn and the historic Arthur's Stone to the breathtaking beauty of Rhossili Bay and Worms Head. The route was made famous by the Swansea born poet Dylan Thomas who was a frequent visitor to the Gower where some of his poems and short stories were composed.B, D
Day 3 - Tuesday
An excursion to Pembrokeshire to visit the seaside resort of Tenby. The town is steeped in history and surrounded by a medieval stone wall. Enjoy the narrow streets, harbour, beaches, independent shops, cafés and art galleries.B, D
Day 4 - Wednesday
We drive to Bronwydd Arms Station for a trip on the Gwili Steam Railway. The line follows a picturesque little river, alongside the Gwili Falls where the water tumbles over rocky outcrops. Visit the museum, signal box and café, and take a ride on the miniature railway. This afternoon we visit The National Botanic Gardens of Wales. There are lakes, ponds and walks, and the largest single-span glasshouse in the world. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, it houses some of the most endangered plants on the planet.B, D
Day 5 - Thursday
After breakfast we make our way to the Royal Mint Experience at Llantrisant. Discover the people and events behind the coins in your pocket and hear some surprising stories from the history of our currency. In the manufacturing areas you will see how blank pieces of metal are turned into coins and medals for the UK and countries around the world. Later we continue our homeward journey, reaching the taxis in Sussex by late afternoon/early evening.B
